– Fri, Nov 19, 2021 at 03:52:55 PM
Hi guys,
The files for the game and all expansions have now been sent off to the printers!
Next up we'll be approving their digital proofs, then they'll send me a pre-production copy of the game, which we'll go through with a fine-toothed comb to check for mistakes for the millionth time, and then we'll fire up the printers and get this beautiful slice of historical epic battleness into production!
And that's all for now folks – let us know what you'll be playing this weekend in the comments, and have a brilliant rest of the week!
Cheers,
Tristan xx

Hello there,
I hope this missive finds you safe and well and that you're dancing a mental jig in anticipation of this exciting upcoming week! (Yes, I've had my coffee today...) :D
This is a quick catch-up to say that we're now waiting on just 12 final pieces of art for the 1815, Give Me Night expansion whilst we're finalising the awesome input from our last round of play-testing.
Then we're going to be sending off the files to the printers!
And since there's no way on earth to make the lengthy administrative and logistical processes that all of this entails sound exciting or interesting, I'm opting to cannon an art blast into your eyeballs instead! Now, I'm not saying that this is going to be the single most beautifully illustrated Battle of Waterloo game you've ever seen or played but, well, I mean, you know, just... Check these out:
And that's all for now, I hope you have a truly brilliant week!
1815, Scum of the Earth - September 2021: Final Play-testing + Art Previews

Hello there!
I pray that your September is off to a jolly good start already, and that you have a spare two minutes to read our latest missive...
Play-Testers Wanted!
Would you like to help us out? We are undergoing the final rounds of play-testing for 1815, Scum of the Earth before we send the files off to the printers, so even if you cast your eyes over the card abilities and flavour text for typos and such, it all helps. If you'd like to be involved please email me directly with the subject "1815 Play Testing": [email protected]
Card Examples!
Our amazingly talented artists are beavering away on the artwork for 1815, Scum of the Earth (about 90% complete) and for the 1815, Give Me Night expansion (about 70% complete), so here are some more Unit card teasers for you...
The Artillery in 1815, Scum of the Earth is more advanced than it was in 1565, St. Elmo's Pay - so their abilities have been updated to reflect this.
The British/Anglo-Allied army was composed of a huge variety of units, so we've tried to include a fair sampling of the various nationalities.
If you opted for the "1815, Give Me Night" expansion you will of course be receiving a whole extra Prussian army to field!
And that's all for now - cheers, and have a brilliant week!

1815, Scum of the Earth - August 2021: Interview + Photos!

Hello there,
Think of Hall or Nothing as a swan – on the ethereal surface of Lake Gaming we're drifting serenely towards our delivery dates, meanwhile under the surface we're peddling like crazy to get everything turned around behind the scenes and smash our deadlines! And since you guys are currently drifting serenely in the twiddly-thumb waiting-game stage of development for 1815, Scum of the Earth I thought I'd pop some little nuggets of info to you from the desperately paddling HoN HQ into your inbox to tide you over until the games lands. :D
First off here's a...
...Podcast!
I was kindly invited to have a great chinwag about Solo Gaming with the brilliant @TabletopMag on the Tabletop Gaming Magazine Podcast:
And now we have some photos of the locally printed prototype of 1815 so that you have a visual of how far along the base game is in terms of art. The Prussian 1815, Give Me Night expansion deck is not pictured here, though we're making steady progress on that too. Basically, my emails to our artists currently go something like: "Got, got, got, NEED, got, got, NEED, got, got, got..."
Weather deck expansion looming in the north
If you squint you might be able to read some of these...
And here I'm playing with my boy – and Hall or Nothing #1 play-tester – ninjapup:
Borrowing some lovely components from 1066, Tears to Many Mothers
Copious play-test notes taken, and numerous gaming tweaks, but surprisingly few typoohs...
Devastation for my French forces – with one Frontier claimed each, the British smash Papelotte into dust for the win
I'd like to say the boy only beat me this time because I'm trying out weird and different strategies when I play to test out all of the cards, but man, those games are getting closer and closer each time we play...
And that's all for now, cheers all, have a fantastic week. Until next time...

1815, Scum of the Earth - July 2021, Pledge Manager Reminder
over 4 years ago
– Wed, Jul 14, 2021 at 07:15:53 AM
Hello there,
Thanks to everyone who has completed their pledge manager info, it is most appreciated. We are extremely privileged to have the support of all of you, so thank you so much. :)
But whilst we intended to close the pledge manager in June, over 150 of you have still not completed your pledge manager information. This holds us up in a number of ways, but more importantly means that if you don't complete your pledge manager details you may end up not receiving your game/s.
We have just completed fulfilment of our previous game Veilwraith, and whilst we sent out hundreds of pledge manager reminders and emails, the game sold out in record time, and now we are still receiving emails (even today) from folks asking if they can complete their pledge manager details over a year late to get hold of the game.
So if you don't want to miss out, please complete your pledge manager info asap. If your order is locked, don't worry, that means you've already done everything you need to do. And if you have any issues at all we are right here for you, just email either of us: [email protected] or [email protected]
Cheers!
Tristan xx
PS. Development continues at a pace, here are some of the teaser sketches our artists are turning into beauteous works for the final gorgeous game:
